My approach is the product of almost ten years of experience in psychotherapy and counseling. In this time, I have worked with a wide variety of clients, including those with substance abuse problems, mental illness, criminal histories and all types of everyday problems.
I combine various modalities of therapy, drawing on whatever is most effective for my clients. I draw from: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychosynthesis, Supportive Counseling and Energy Psychology. I also incorporate Holistic Life Coaching into my work, helping my clients progress and move towards their goals in more tangible ways.
Few approaches have the flexibility to heal the past, build the future and increase present awareness. Even fewer are based on a spiritual paradigm. While I never impose this on my clients, I strongly resonate with the idea that we are spiritual beings having a temporary human experience.
Having had a number of experiences that evidenced non-physical reality to me from childhood, I’m sensitive to intuition, energy (chi, prana, etc.), psychic experiences, presences (including spirit guides or intrusive entities), out-of-body experiences, karma, past lives, etc. In my eyes, leaving this out of the equation is incomplete. Not very “holistic” if you ask me.
My personal style is a gentle but non-BS approach, helping my clients take a deep, honest look at themselves. I strive to not be the therapist, counselor or life coach that my clients will see for years. With empathy and deep understanding, I provide support to help my clients help themselves.
Go ahead and contact me if you’d like to see if we are a good fit for each other. I’d be happy to setup a free consultation with you.
